Holy Macaroni

Well . . . It started out this morning before
I woke,
I had a dream and this angel spoke,
She had wings of fire and eyes of light
She said, "Boy, all your stars are lined up right."
I said "Holy, holy, holy,
Holy macaroni!
Everything's turning out right,
No more white bread, no more balogna,
And I think I'll fall in love tonight."
I had three eggs all sunny side up,
Fresh brewed coffee in my coffee cup,
Checked the mail and, for heaven's sakes,
I won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes!
And I said "Holy, holy, holy,
Holy macaroni!
Everything's turning out right,
No more white bread, no more balogna,
And I think I'll fall in love tonight."
Bridge: I think
I'll fall in love tonight with a girl like you
There will only be one big difference:
She's gonna love me, too.
Well I went to the bank, cashed my check,
Paid off my loans, paid off my debts,
Spent the whole afternoon goin' in and out of stores,
But my money ain't gone; I got a whole lot more,
I said "Holy, holy, holy,
Holy macaroni!
Everything's turning out right,
No more white bread, no more balogna,
And I think I'll fall in love tonight."
Well I combed my hair, dressed up tight,
Thought I'd do a little steppin' out tonight,
Sat down at the bar, looked around the room,
Her eyes caught mine and my soul went ZOOM!
Holy, holy, holy,
Holy macaroni!
Everything's turning out right,
No more white bread, no more balogna,
And I think I fell in love tonight.
